February 13
9:39 p.m. – Drayton Valley – Power Ctr Blvd – Complainant reported a break and enter to a business. Members attended and cleared the building, and then viewed surveillance video. Unidentified male manages to pry a door open, and is then seen leaving with one box. Under investigation.
February 15
5:31 p.m. – Drayton Valley – 50 St – Complainant reported a female shoplifter in a store. Member attended and found the female still in the store. Female suspect admitted to having items in her bag and claimed she intended to pay but forgot her bank card. The $10 worth of items were recovered and the female left.
February 17
12:34 p.m. – Brazeau County – Northside Meadows – Third party complainant reported a male had assaulted a family member at a residence. Members aware of the male and that he had outstanding warrants and was on conditions not to be at the residence. Members attended and searched the residence with consent; 49-year-old Leonard Wolf was arrested hiding amongst women’s clothing in a closet. Wolf was held for a telephone bail hearing on the outstanding warrants along with four new charges including two counts of failing to comply with a release order and two counts of failing to comply with probation. After a telephone bail hearing with a Justice of the Peace, Wolf was remanded in custody to appear in court at a later date.
February 18
1:14 p.m. – Parkland County – RR75 – Complainant reported that on Feb. 8, a female acquaintance who had been staying at his residence briefly returned to pickup some property and took items that were not hers and broke some other items. Under investigation.
3:34 p.m. – Drayton Valley – 50 St – Complainant reported a counterfeit $100 bill turned in to a bank. Member attended and retrieved the bill which will be sent to the Counterfeit Bureau for confirmation.
3:48 p.m. – Drayton Valley – Complainant reported receiving messages indicating problems with business orders for her employer, and that she deposited money to a bitcoin machine as directed. Transaction was fraudulent. Under investigation.
4:33 p.m. – Drayton Valley – 50 St – Complainant reported an acquaintance stole his truck around noon. A note had been left that they were borrowing the truck to go for lunch, but it wasn’t returned. Under investigation.
4:46 p.m. – Drayton Valley – Industrial Road – Member on patrol stopped a truck after noticing the plate should not be on a vehicle. Tickets were issued to the driver for operating without insurance or registration, and the truck was towed from off the road.
February 19
10:15 a.m. – Drayton Valley – 50 St – Complainant reported a counterfeit $100 bill in a deposit at a bank. Member attended and retrieved the bill which will be sent to the Counterfeit Bureau for confirmation. Unclear where the bill was passed or by who.
February 20
6:44 a.m. – Drayton Valley – 52 St – Complainant reported a break-and-enter to his residence. When members arrived, the complainant admitted to inviting a known female over and stated that while she was there she tossed the place and attempted to steal some items. The complainant stopped her and got most items back before she left. The complainant did not want the female charged.
2:19 p.m. – Lodgepole area – Complainant reported damage and theft from a tower site south of Lodgepole. Fencing and a tank were damaged and diesel stolen. Under investigation.
3:12 p.m. – Drayton Valley – 50 St – Complainant reported two males bothering people in a parking lot and stated one had kicked at a vehicle as it drove away. Member attended and arrested one of the two males, charges are pending.
