A Fire Ban previously in place for the Town of Drayton Valley and Brazeau County has been downgraded to a Fire Restriction, effective as of noon on Wednesday, July 31.
Under this restriction, officials say existing permits are once again valid, however, extensions and new permits will not be granted.
Officials also note that the following burning is only permitted in approved pits or appliances:
- Safe wood campfires in approved fire pits.
- Portable propane fire pits.
- Gas or propane stoves and barbecues.
- Charcoal and pellet barbeques.
- Catalytic or infrared-style heater.
- Approved and certified incinerators. (for agricultural use)
