March 29
2:58 a.m. – Drayton Valley – 50 St – Complainant requested police assist in removing his ex-girlfriend and a friend of hers who are refusing to leave his motel room. Members attended and the friend was found to have outstanding warrants on unrelated matters, so she was arrested and dealt with accordingly. Members remained and kept the peace until the ex-girlfriend removed all her belongings.
4:30 a.m. – Drayton Valley – 50 St – Multiple calls reporting the female previously kicked out of the Aspen Motor Inn had returned and was banging on windows. By the time members arrived, the female had already left the scene and was no longer causing issues.
March 30
7:07 a.m. – Drayton Valley – 7/11 – Employee called to report a woman was being belligerent and refusing to leave the store or pay for items when asked to. Members responded and spoke to the known female, who agreed to leave without any further issues.
4:33 p.m. – Drayton Valley – Power Center Blvd – Staff in a store reported a prolific shoplifter in the store and requested assistance. Members attended and arrested the woman for theft and obstruction. She was subsequently released to attend court at a later date.
March 31
3:29 a.m. – Brazeau County – Twp Rd 492 – While patrolling, members located a suspicious vehicle with no plate on it and attempted to conduct a traffic stop. The vehicle fled at a high rate of speed out of town, evading police through lease roads. Investigation is ongoing.
2:33 p.m. – Brazeau County – RR 80 – Complainant reported his travel trailer had been stolen from a storage area within the past couple of months. Several days later the complainant located his own trailer on a rural property in Parkland County. The resident where the trailer was found stated it had been left a couple weeks earlier by a couple due to two blown tires and that the couple had not returned. Under investigation.
4:24 p.m. – Drayton Valley – 50 Ave – Complainant reported that her dog had been missing since March 28, and that she had been contacted by a male wanting cash for the return of the dog. Member investigated and advised the complainant not to send any money as it appeared that the male was being opportunistic in seeking cash and that he did not have her dog.
9:17 p.m. – Drayton Valley – 50 Ave – Complainant requested assistance in removing a female from her motel room. Apparently, the female had been drinking for five days and was being belligerent and refusing to leave. Member attended and found that the intoxicated female was refusing to leave, so she was arrested and held in cells until sober.
April 1
9:42 a.m. – Drayton Valley – Complainant reported that a car he had purchased and subsequently went missing 2 years ago had shown up at a repair shop in town. Under investigation.
4:54 p.m. – Brazeau County – Hwy 39 – Complainant reported picking up a female he observed walking and crying down the highway. Member attended and located the female who stated her husband had assaulted her in her vehicle while driving. The male was located and arrested and held while the allegation was investigated. The female was eventually returned to her car and the male was released to appear in court at a later date.
7:04 p.m. – Drayton Valley – Omniplex – Complainant reported a male speeding through the Omniplex parking lot and doing burnouts. Member attended and located the male who was issued a warning for stunting.
7:15 p.m. – Drayton Valley – Complainant reported a suspicion that a local female is being trafficked for the benefit of others. Under investigation.
10:56 p.m. – Drayton Valley – 911 hang-up call received from an unknown person. Member called the number back and a male answered but told the member to “f off and don’t call back” and that something had happened but he dealt with it. Members were able to identify the male from the phone number and located him in a vehicle on 43 Street. Members noted a strong odour of liquor and issued a MAS (mandatory alcohol screening) demand, but the male refused to comply. A provincial impaired driving suspension was issued and due to his level of intoxication the male was lodged in cells until sober.
April 2
7:46 a.m. – Drayton Valley – 56 St – Complainants reported a road rage incident that occurred with the driver of a semi, that started with horn blowing and the use of the one fingered salute and escalated to the semi following the complainants to a location and the driver wanting to fight. Under investigation.
12:19 p.m. – Drayton Valley – 40 St – Complainant reported receiving harassing text messages from an unknown male. Member investigated and identified the male, determining that the complainant’s Facebook account had been hacked and the male had her number so decided to contact her directly, thinking she was trying to propagate a scam. The male was advised of the circumstances and told to stop the messaging.
1:14 p.m. – Drayton Valley – 44 St – Complainant reported being threatened by another male when he was serving legal documents on a female. A male suspect was arrested and released with a later court date.
3:33 p.m. – Drayton Valley – 40 St/43 Ave – Complainant reported that her son was followed by an unidentified male while walking home from school. Member patrolled the area but did not locate the male.
3:44 p.m. – Drayton Valley – 50 St – Complainant reported a female had concealed an item in her purse and left a store without paying. Member attended and arrested the female while still in the parking lot. A jar of Mayonnaise was located in her purse and by self-incrimination, the female admitted to having something under her shirt, to witch a sausage fell out. After consultation with property representatives no charge was laid though the female was advised to not return to the location or she will be issued a ticket under the Trespass to Premise Act.
4:52 p.m. – Drayton Valley – 46 St – Complainant reported that a female acquaintance was banging on her door stating she had been arrested and needed the $15.00 the complainant owed her. Apparently, the money had been e-transferred but hadn’t yet arrived. Member suggested that the acquaintance be patient and not resort to shoplifting sandwich ingredients.
7:34 p.m. – Drayton Valley – Complaint received of a dog attack that occurred on April 2. Very little information provided, though it appears one dog escaped and attacked another dog. Under investigation.
April 3
2:27 a.m. – Drayton Valley – 50 Ave – Complainant reported that he had been assaulted by a female in his motel room and that the female then left with another male. Members attended and determined the complainant didn’t want charges, just didn’t want the pair back. Members located the assailant and the second male and learned that the punch resulted from the complainant making disparaging remarks about the assailant’s daughter. All parties advised to avoid each other.
8:31 a.m. – Drayton Valley – Complainant turned in a BMX style bike left at the shelter pods.
8:58 p.m. – Drayton Valley – Northview Pond area – Complainant reported a suspicious vehicle and some youth lurking around. Member attended and found a male with a younger female, and noted a potentially inappropriate age difference. The female youth was driven home to her parents and the male was advised of the possible repercussions and topics such as the age of consent.
