October 14
1:00pm – Drayton Valley – 45 avenue – Complainant wishes driver of a red Chevy Cobalt 2 door to be “talked” to about his reckless driving in the Ominiplex area near the new pool being built. Driver was young, Caucasian 16 – 18 years of age. SUI
8:56am – Tomahawk – Agriplex – Alarm at Tomahawk sports facility, alarm company called back to cancel, contact made with key holder who confirmed it is a false alarms. Prior to attendance, false alarm.
10:23am – Drayton Valley – 43 street – Security company called in to report panic alarm, with no answer on site, Member attended found property owner working on his property, no issues, false alarm.
1:26pm – Brazeau County – Hwy 22 – 911- report of an erratic driver. Complainant reports a silver dually 1 tonne towing flat deck trailer was driving on the wrong side of the Hwy, cutting off semi, trailer deck tilted up dragging on the ground, sparks flying. Vehicle fled from members prior to this report. Vehicle was stolen and ditched later in the day. SUI
2:54pm – Brazeau County – RgRd 92 – Call of assist fire department. Residence on fire, fire dept on route, no one inside. Member attended residence, house completely engulfed. Spoke with Deputy Fire Chief to gauge on the cause of the fire, at this point the cause of fire is unknown. Left occurrence number and contact information with Fire Chief, will provided updates onto whether incident was criminal or not. SUI
3:35 – Drayton Valley – Madsen Ave – Call received at the Drayton Valley detachment for a female at the Drayton Valley hospital who was hysterical and requested police assisted. Member attended and assisted to identify the female. She was initially willing to seek medical attention but then chose to leave. Female was not making any comments about wanting to harm herself or harm others, no grounds for a form 10. Female last seen walking north on Madsen Ave from the hospital.
3:28pm – Brazeau County – Hwy 624 – Request to assist EMS with female threatening suicide due to mental state deteriorating. Female was apprehended under the mental health act and transported to Ponoka for Assessment.
4:26pm – Drayton Valley – 49 avenue – Call of unwanted persons/trespassing. Complainant states 2 men knocked on her door asking for bottles, then broke into her back shed to take a look in. 2 men headed west and are, at the time of the call, 4 houses down. Complainant states that the shed may have been open already, and did not wish to proceed with charges since nothing was taken. Members located and spoke with one of the males who stated that neighbourhood was his normal route to collect bottles, instructed not to cause any other issues. CH
4:30pm – Drayton Valley – 50 avenue – Report of unwanted person in unit C3 as landlord/complainant male has been in the unit with the occupant for more than 1 week which is breaking the rules of the L/T agreement. Complainant has asked members to speak with the male and ask him to leave; complainant believes the male has been dealing drugs out of the property. Members spoke with the male in person and he said he would leave, however he would need to pack up his belongings and vacate the residence shortly.
5:16pm – Drayton Valley – 54 street – B&E to compound overnight, saw used to cut lock and gate, nothing left behind, complainant thinks the thieves were looking to steal catalytic converters but nothing stolen. Member attended and viewed video surveillance with COM. Not suitable for facial ID or License plate ID. Car distinctly red on bottom and black on top.
7:32pm – Drayton Valley – 52 avenue – Complaint of a female at the Drayton Valley Hotel who seemed to be in distress. Members attended and spoke to female who had been dealt with by members at the hospital earlier in the day. Female seemed to be experiencing some mental health issue but was not a risk to herself or others. Another patron at the bar, offered to get female a hotel room for the night. Female went with him willingly and was told she could call police if she needed assistance.
October 15
12:30am – Drayton Valley – Greenwood Trailer Court – 911 hang-up, report from initial call that complainant wanted police to show up to her residence. Call was dropped and then upon callback, Male answered saying his girlfriend was freaking out. Members attended and both parties were already separated, and calm. Male mentioned he was going to head to a hotel and that nothing physical occurred, but female was intoxicated.
3:17am – Drayton Valley – 50 avenue – Complainant called in reporting male was selling some drugs in the back of the coach motel, coach is already heavily patrolled area, and the police are aware of the drug activity at the Coach Hotel.
5:40am – Drayton Valley – 50 street – Complainant called in about his truck being stolen during the night at the Lakeview inn in Drayton Valley, no suspect no other investigative avenue.
7:39 am – Drayton Valley – 45 Avenue – Member on patrol located a stolen vehicle, attempt traffic stop, vehicle fled.
7:57am – Brazeau County – Violet Grove – Complainant called in to report suspicious male asking for gas, Member attended and found HAYS who had 2 outstanding warrants and investigation showed that the Silverado he was in was stolen, HAYS arrested and held for JIR.
8:03am – Drayton Valley – 54 street – Received call for assistance from Drayton Valley Public Works. Town of Drayton Valley called to ask police to keep the peace while a former employee grabbed their tools from the Public Works building. Former employee arrived and picked up his tools without an issue.
8:27am – Drayton Valley – Pleasantveiw Trailer Court – Complainant called to report that the neighbours dog had bit their daughter the night before. Complainant advised that they already attended hospital and took care of the dog bite. Neighbour was agreeable to putting down dog. Member contacted By-Law/ Animal Enforcement of Drayton Valley, who advised that they would take care of the issue.
8:34 am – Drayton Valley – Member on patrol conducted a traffic stop. Driver issued a violation ticket for failing to stop at stop sign.
9:29am – Drayton Valley – Broughham Drive – Call by the front staff of the Holiday Inn reporting that someone has left their bike outside the hotel doors. Member attended scene, and spoke with front staff. Both parties agreed to leave the bike there, as it may belong to one of the guests or their visitors. If bike is not removed later in the day, it will be collected and brought to DV Detachment and placed in Lost and Found. Bike picked up later in the day be member.
10:43am – Drayton Valley – 50 avenue – Complainant called reporting that he was spray painted and threatened by male that lives at the Coach Motel and an unknown woman. Male apparently was threatening the complainant to fight and hurt him, and then sometime later in the morning, the complainant was spray painted by an unknown woman that came to his door. SUI
1:46pm – Drayton Valley – 52 street – 911 call of a disturbance. Complainant reported that her partner attempted to break into her residence and continues to bang on her door, male was gone on arrival. Member attended residence and spoke with complainant, she states that she found her window open in the morning and thinks it was the male. Complainant is okay with male being around except when he is intoxicated. SUI
2:47pm – Drayton Valley – 48 street – Hotel Manager called reporting suspicious activity at the Westwood Inn. The renter in the room had a lot of copper wire in the room. Manager is fed up with the foot traffic produced by the room renter. He thinks that the male is doing illegal activities out of the room. SUI
3:08pm – Drayton valley – 43 street – 911 call for vandalism that occurred across the street from Frank Maddock High School. Complaint parked her truck across from the school at 1350h and while she was in class, someone keyed her truck. Surveillance was reviewed and identified a suspect. SUI
3:38pm – Brazeau County – Hwy 22 – 911 call of an erratic, possibly impaired driver, driving eastbound past Hwy 22 & Hwy 39. Officers responded and located the suspect gravel truck northbound on Hwy 759. Vehicle was pulled over and made aware of complaints, driver was given MAS demand, driver blew a 0 and was alert enough to rule out fatigue.
5:40pm – Drayton Valley – 50 avenue – 911 suspicious activity complainant reports he can see 2 male/1 female around a silver 2009 dodge Journey, Ontario licence plate, subjects are tearing the vehicle apart with a hand grinder, the front end is pretty much removed. Complainant he works at the recycle depot and got a call 2 days ago about parts from this, type of vehicle. Complainant was contacted, said he thought the whole thing was fishy and suspected the car was stolen. Member attended and located vehicle and female dismantling front end. Vehicle and female known to officers. Not stolen. SOC said she is selling it for scrap.
7:01pm – Brazeau County – Country Style Trailer Court – Complainant called and reported that his father in law had grabbed him and scratched him. Father in-law is 84 and has dementia so complainant requested that no charges be laid. Members attended and spoke with the male who was very stubborn. VSU referral done.
11:36pm – Drayton Valley – 50 street – 911 dispatch for an assault that occurred in the area of the Aspen Liquor Store where complainant had been initially punched in the face. A black Pontiac u/k marker allegedly stopped to break up the fight, and then followed the complainant into the liquor store. Complainant got into the liquor store; he made the call from inside and said the unknown individuals in the vehicle were waiting outside looking like they wanted to fight him. The vehicle took off before members arrived, and patrols in the area were negative. Complainant did not want to share the ID of any individuals from the vehicle, had no injuries reported, and did not want to press charges.
October 16
12:13am – Reported of a possible domestic in progress across the highway from Boston Pizza. Members attended and located female and male by homeless camp near the Aspen waste management. Member spoke with male who stated he got into argument with the female. Male is jealous of female talking to other homeless male. Nothing physical happened.
2:50am – Drayton Valley – 52 avenue – Report of an assault at the Derrick lounge. Complainant states a male choked him. Complainant was reluctant to answer dispatch questions & did not want to give personal info, as he wants to attend the detachment in person to finish the rest of the file. Male never showed up at the detachment unknown who the male is at this time. SUI
7:12 am – Drayton Valley – 50 Street – Complainant reporting theft of their 2005 Black and White Chevrolet Silverado.
11:46 am – Drayton Valley – 50 Avenue – Complainant reporting ex is outside apartment revving engine and trying to speak with them. Members attended, male had left prior to arrival.
3:45 pm – Brazeau county – Complainant reporting a burning vehicle on a lease site. Vehicle had been stolen out of Edmonton.
4:58 pm – Drayton Valley – 52 Avenue – Complainant reporting an argument with ex regarding custody of children. Member advised both parties to have agreement amended by courts.
5:18 pm – Drayton valley – 55 Avenue – Complainant reporting they received documents today advising they were being sued. Complainant advised this was littering. Member advised that they were legal documents and they had been served.
7:23 pm – Drayton Valley – 50 Avenue – Complainant requesting a wellbeing check on children. Member attended and located children who were fine.
7:40 pm – Drayton Valley – 50 Avenue – Member on patrol conducted a traffic stop. Driver issued a 3 day suspension for impaired driving. Vehicle towed.
7:58 pm – Drayton Valley – 54 Street – Complainant reporting brother drunk and belligerent. Member attended and spoke with both parties who agreed to stay away from each other.
10:11 pm – Brazeau County – Complainant called to report they heard two loud gunshots in the area. Member attended area and patrolled, no gun shots heard.
11:06 pm – Drayton Valley – 50 Street – Member on patrol conducted a traffic stop. Driver issued a violation ticket for being on cell phone while driving.
11:22 pm – Drayton Valley – 49 Avenue – Complainant reporting a male grinding machinery. Member attended, male had been working on vehicle but had stopped
11:33 pm – Brazeau County – Complainant reporting a verbal argument which had resulted in a broken glass. Members attended, parties had separated prior to arrival.
October 17
1:00 am – Drayton Valley – 53 Avenue – Complainant reporting loud music. Member attended and spoke with individual who agreed to turn down the music.
1:55 am – Brazeau County – Member on patrol located a stolen vehicle which had been stolen from Drayton valley on October 15. Vehicle towed.
11:19 am – Brazeau County – Complainant calling to report their neighbour shut off their power without telling them. Lock put on meter. Civil issue.
1:24 pm – Brazeau County – Complainant reporting a suspicious vehicle trespassing on property. Member attended. Oilfield worker attempting to get to lease site.
4:11 pm – Brazeau County – Hwy 621 – Complainant requesting member attend to keep the peace while they disconnect power.
4:58 pm – Brazeau County – Complainant reporting an attempted theft of vehicle. Back window broken and ignition torn apart.
7:22 pm – Drayton Valley – 50 Avenue – Complainant calling to report a road rage incident. Other individual had thrown golf balls at truck. Member patrolled the area and located other party. Warning issued regarding manner of driving.
October 18
12:18 am – Drayton Valley – 49 Street – Complainant reporting noise from power tools. Members attended and warned individual about excessive noise.
6:36 am – Drayton Valley – Complainant reporting a suspicious vehicle. White Dodge Truck is attempting to hook up a trailer. Members attended. No theft.
8:28 am – Drayton Valley – 34 Avenue – Complainant called to report their business had been broken into overnight. Suspects had siphoned gas from one of the trucks.
8:38 am – Drayton Valley – 34 Avenue – Complainant called to report their business had been broken into over the weekend. Batteries, light and tow strap stolen.
10:53 am – Drayton Valley – 50 Avenue – Complainant called to report the fence to their compound had been cut and tires in the yard were spread all over.
10:58 am – Drayton Valley – 50A Street – Complainant called to report their Western Star truck had been stolen over the weekend.
12:11 pm – Drayton Valley – Complainant requested a wellbeing check on son as they hadn’t heard from him in over a month. Member contacted son’s workplace. They advised that he had been at work today. Member spoke with son who confirmed they were fine.
1:04 pm – Yellowhead County – Complainant reporting theft from worksite over the weekend. Copper wire stolen.
4:04 pm – Drayton Valley – Complainant reporting theft of trailer. Suspects cut security chains and hooked their vehicle up.
6:38 pm – Drayton Valley – 44 Street – Complainant called to report harassment and possible assault. Members spoke with all parties involved and parents.
9:17 pm – Drayton Valley – Individual called the Drayton Valley detachment and refused to provide their name. Message left was quite belligerent.
9:47 pm – Drayton Valley – 46 Avenue – Request for members to assist EMS with entry to building. Members attended, entry had already been gained.
10:14 pm – Drayton Valley – 50 Avenue – Complainant reporting they should take down the mayoral sign on their business. Member called them back and spoke with them regarding the legalities of how long businesses have to take down signs after the election. Complainant apologized.
October 19
7:39 am – Drayton Valley – 45 Street – Complainant reporting their Jeep TJ stolen overnight. A Dodge Journey was also broken into.
9:30 am – Yellowhead County – Complainant reporting they were renting a property and had taken some things there. When they returned several items had been stolen along with a ATV, Honda Foreman 2003.
11:14 am – Drayton Valley – Complainant called to request a wellbeing check on individual. Members attended and spoke with individual who was fine.
11:42 am – Brazeau County – Complainant reporting they were travelling on RR 63 when a deer came out of the ditch and collided with their vehicle.
1:49 pm – Brazeau County – Complainant reporting break and enter to lease site. Breakers were open and parts removed.
3:20 pm – Drayton Valley – 52 Street – Complainant reporting an attempted theft of Motor vehicle.
5:11 pm – Drayton Valley – 50 Street – Complainant requesting a wellbeing check on children. Members spoke with both parties. Children were fine.
6:23 pm – Drayton Valley – 50 Street – Complainant reporting a possible break and enter to Eldorado School. Complainant had observed 3 males at the back doors, one with a crow bar. Members attended and located 3 teenagers. No weapons and no damage to door.
7:20 pm – Drayton Valley – 50 Street – Complainant reporting an individual known to have 30 outstanding warrants. Members attended and located male who was arrested and held for bail hearing.
7:55 pm – Drayton Valley – 42 Street – Complainant reporting their son missing. Son located a short time later at a neighbour’s residence.
8:03 pm – Drayton Valley – 43 Street – Complainant reporting a suspicious male in an older dark grey Mini Van. Members attended, individual had just moved to Drayton Valley
9:29 pm – Brazeau County – hwy 22 – Complainant reporting a semi truck being driven erratically. Ran complainant off the road. Members patrolled the area, vehicle not located.
9:56 pm – Drayton Valley – 52 Avenue – Complainant reporting they observed an individual known to be on warrants playing VLT’s. Members attended numerous locations without locating male.
11:16 pm – Drayton Valley – 52 Avenue – Complainant reporting a physical fight at the Derrick Lounge. Members attended and spoke with witnesses. Individual had already left. Witness statements stated fight was consensual.
October 20
12:01 am – Drayton Valley – 62 Street – Complainant reporting a suspicious person walking on the highway carrying a garbage bag and wearing all black. Members attended and located known male who was collecting bottles.
1:29 am – Drayton Valley – 53 Street – Complainant reporting suspicious activity in the alley. Members patrolled the area, no individuals located.
5:20 am – Brazeau County – Complainant reporting an unoccupied vehicle on the side of the road. Airbags deployed. Member attended and located vehicle. It appears vehicle had been involved in a collision with an animal.
8:20 am – Drayton Valley- 46 Street – Member on patrol conducted a traffic stop with a vehicle who failed to stop. Driver issued a violation ticket.
8:24 AM – Rocky Rapids – Complainant reporting a suspicious vehicle in the area. Appeared to be checking out vehicles. Vehicle description matched that of the jeep stolen the previous day. Members attended the area and patrolled, however vehicle not located.
8:25 am – Brazeau County – hwy 22 – Member on patrol conducted a traffic stop. Driver issued a violation ticket for no registration.
8:40 am – Drayton Valley – 46 Street – Member on patrol conducted a traffic stop after observing vehicle failing to stop at stop sign. Driver issued a violation ticket.
8:45 am – Drayton Valley – 58 Avenue – Complainant reporting their vehicle broken into overnight. Backpack and hunting tags stolen.
9:47 am – Drayton Valley – 43 Street – Complainant reporting someone attempted to steal their truck. Damage to driver’s side door handle and ignition.
9:58 am – Brazeau county – Hwy 22 – Complainant reporting they were travelling south on hwy 22 when a deer came out of the ditch and collided with their vehicle.
11:35 am – Brazeau County – Complainant reporting a break and enter to a lease site. Copper wire stolen
11:39 am – Brazeau County – Complainant reporting an abandoned vehicle near the landfill. Member attended and located a known male who was wanted on outstanding warrants. Male arrested and held for a bail hearing.
12:45 pm – Drayton Valley – 43 Avenue – Complainant reporting vehicles driving through flashing crosswalk without stopping.
1:26 pm – Brazeau County – complainant reporting a single vehicle rollover. Member attended and located a semi truck and trailer. Driver had been too close to shoulder, no injuries
3:16 pm – Drayton Valley – 43 Street – Complainant reporting an erratic driver in a white BMW. Member located vehicle and had discussion with driver regarding their manner of driving and reminding them of the speed limit in school zones.
4:33 pm – Drayton Valley – 44 Street – Complainant reporting male at residence trying to sell security home system.
7:46 pm – Brazeau County – Complainant reporting an overdue hunter. Member conducted patrols in the area, not located. Complainant called back and advised individual had returned home.
8:46 pm – Drayton Valley – 43 Avenue – Complainant reporting people prowling around residence, shining lights into residence. Members patrolled the area. Complainant had confronted individuals who denied doing anything wrong.
8:57 pm – Brazeau County – Hwy 22 – Complainant reporting an accident. Complainant did not se anyone out of the vehicles. One vehicle in the field, the other was in the ditch. Members attended, driver had engine problems and had swerved to avoid a deer. No injuries.
9:52 pm – Drayton Valley – 43 Street – Complainant reporting a possible impaired driver in a black SUV. Members patrolled the area and conducted two traffic stops with vehicles matching the description. Neither vehicle was the reported vehicle.
10:23 pm – Drayton Valley – 52 Street – Member located known male on outstanding warrants. Male arrested and held for a bail hearing.
October 21
1:29 am – Drayton Valley – 53 Street – Member on patrol located a stolen vehicle behind apartment building. Males arrested for possession of stolen property and outstanding warrants. Held for bail hearing.
3:39 am – Drayton Valley – 44 Street – Complainant reporting their cat was found dead in front of their residence. Believes someone ran over cat.
4:24 am – Drayton Valley – Econorest – Complainant reporting a dispute. Members attended, parties separated for the night.
