Several School Divisions have reached tentative agreements with their respective CUPE Locals that could see Education Support workers back on the job after spring break.
Education Support workers across the province have been on strike since February 24.

Officials with CUPE Local 4625 say they reached a tentative agreement with the Sturgeon School Division on Wednesday, March 19. Voting is open for the 200 members to ratify the agreement but results are not expected until Thursday afternoon. If members approve the agreement, they will return to work on Monday, March 31.
CUPE Local 4625 joins the following districts that are also voting on tentative agreements.
- Calgary Board of Education and CUPE 40
*Results are expected by the end of the day on March 19. - Calgary Catholic School District and CUPE 520
- Edmonton Public Schools and CUPE 3550
*Results are expected by the end of the day on March 19. - Black Gold School Division and CUPE 3484
*Results are expected by the end of the day on March 19. - Parkland School Division and CUPE 5543
*Results are expected by the end of the day on March 19.
So far, only Fort McMurray Catholic Schools and CUPE 2559 and Fort McMurray Public Schools and CUPE 2545 have ratified their agreements.
The Foothills School Division is now the only education local still on strike, however, CUPE 5040 will be bargaining with the Division on March 19.
