Drayton Valley tax payment deadline approaching

Officials with the Town of Drayton Valley are reminding residents that the tax payment penalty deadline is quickly approaching.

Town officials say a 15 per cent penalty will be applied to any unpaid balances as of Jan. 1, however, penalties will not be applied to anyone registered with the Tax Installment Payment Plan. (TIPP.) Residents who are not registered with TIPP are encouraged to do so to avoid future penalties. 

Any residents who feel they will be unable to pay their taxes are being encouraged to contact the Town by calling 780-514-2200 to make alternative payment arrangements.
