Brazeau County puts road bans into effect

The following road bans have been put into effect in Brazeau County as of 8:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 4.

County officials say oil based roads will be at 100 per cent gross vehicle axle weights with the exceptions of:

  • Township Road 492 from Rang Road 73 east to the Drayton Valley Cemetery at 75 per cent
  • The internal roads of Parview Estates at 75 per cent.
  • The internal roads of Country Club Estates at 75 per cent.
  • The Internal roads of Northside Acres and Fairway Meadows at 75 per cent.
  • The internal roads of Rex Block at 75 per cent.
  • The internal roads of River Ridge Estate at 75 per cent.
  • The internal roads of Ring Road Estates at 75 per cent.
  • The internal roads of Cottonwood Acres at 75 per cent.
  • Lindale Hamlet Range Road 53 at 75 per cent.

Hamlets in the County will be:

  • Cynthia at 75 per cent.
  • Lodgepole at 75 per cent.
  • Buck Creek at 75 per cent.
  • Rocky Rapids at 75 per cent.
  • Violet Grove at 75 per cent.

Gravel roads in the County will be at 100 per cent gross vehicle axle weights with the exception of:

  • Range Road 35 from Highway 616 to Township Road 474 at 75 per cent.
  • Range Road 40 from Highway 616 to Township Road 473A at 75 per cent.
  • Range Road 40 from Highway 616 to Township Road 482 at 75 per cent.
  • Range Road 44 from Township Road 483 to Township Road 482A at 75 per cent.
  • Range Road 45 from Township Road 484 to Township Road 483 at 75 per cent.
  • Range Road 45 from Highway 616 south to County boundary at 75 per cent.
  • Range Road 50 from Highway 39 to Township Road 484 at 75 per cent.
  • Range Road 71 from Township Road 495 to Township Road 494 at 75 per cent
  • Township Road 474 from Range Road 40 to Range Road 33 at 75 per cent.
  • Township Road 481 from Range Road 44A to range Road 42 at 75 per cent.
  • Township Road 482 from Range Road 50 to Range Road 44 at 75 per cent.
  • Township Road 483 from Range Road 45 to Range Road 44 at 75 per cent.
  • Township Road 484 from Range Road 50 to Range Road 45 at 75 per cent.
  • Township Road 491 from Range Road 81 to Range Road 80 at 75 per cent.
  • Township Road 495 from Range Road 72 to Range Road 71 at 75 per cent.
  • Paved roads in the County will be at 100 per cent gross vehicle axle weights.

Officials say exemptions are made in accordance with the Traffic Safety Act Commercial Vehicle Dimension and Weight Regulations.
