Drayton Valley residents warned about increase in Canada Revenue Agency impersonation scams as tax season approaches

Officials with the Town of Drayton Valley want to warn residents that email and phone scams that involve the impersonation of the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) seem to circulate during tax season.

Drayton Valley residents are being reminded not to provide personal information through an email or text message, and that the Canada Revenue Agency will never request payment of taxes by prepaid credit cards, or iTunes gift cards.
