Brazeau County is making sure people are aware of changes coming to Rocky Rapids.
Starting Monday, July 25, 2022, the County will be reducing the speed limit near the hamlet.
Currently, the speed limit is 80 km/h. The County is reducing it 60 km/h.
The new speed zone will extend east of Rocky Rapids. It will run from the boundary of Rocky Rapids to 400 metres west of the intersection of Township Road 500 and Range Road 72.
In a statement, the County says they are making this move to improve safety along Township Road 500.
The County will be installing the new speed limit signs, along with signs highlighting the change.
