Alberta RCMP App – The AB RCMP mobile app is now available as a free download through the Apple App and Google Play Stores. The app does not track or monitor users in any way. June 23
7:46 am – Drayton Valley – 52 street – Police were dispatched to a complaint of an intoxicated female yelling and hitting store windows. Police attended and located the female who was arrested for public intoxication. Female also found to be wanted on warrant.
10:18 am – Drayton Valley – 50 street – Police received a 911 open line. Police called the number back, no emergency, complainants phone is acting up.
10:33 am – Drayton Valley – 53 street – Police were called to a disturbance on 53rd street. Complainant reported a family dispute between an elderly mother and her adult son. Police attended and located the both parties, who advised they were have a disagreement but everything was now fine.
1:30 pm – Drayton Valley – 50 avenue – Police dispatched to a complaint of an unwanted female at the Royal Inn and Suites. Police attended but the female departed prior to police arrival.
3:10 pm – Drayton Valley – 50 avenue – 2 vehicle MVC reported to police. Members attended and moved traffic along until the roadway could be clear. Only minor injuries occurred.
3:12 pm – Brazeau County – Highway 22 – Complaint received of a vehicle driving dangerously in highway 22 towards Entwistle. Members advised Evansburg and Parkland RCMP to look out for it.
3:28 pm – Brazeau County – Highway 22 – Another complaint received of a vehicle driving dangerously. This one was headed towards Breton. Members made patrols attempting to locate the vehicle but were not successful Breton RCMP notified.
6:40 pm – Drayton Valley – 51 avenue – Complaint received of a suspicious female kicking vehicles. Members attended and located the female. Female cautioned to leave the vehicle’s alone. No damage done to any of the vehicles.
8:05 pm – Drayton Valley – 56 avenue – Police received a 911 of a domestic dispute at the theatre. Male and female were arguing and the male punched the window of the theatre breaking it. Members attended and spoke with the female and obtained evidence of other criminal offences including assault and uttering threats. Male located, arrested and held for Judicial Interim release hearing.
9:04 pm – Drayton Valley – 52 avenue – Police were dispatched to a complaint of a couple loitering in the entry way of the Meridian heights building. Members attended and referred them to the shelter pods available for them to spend the night in.
11:04 pm – Brazeau County – RR 80 – Members dispatched to a barking dog complaint.
11:28 pm – Drayton Valley – 51 avenue – Police were dispatched to a 911 call from a local business, nothing heard or said. Members attended, all fine at the business.
June 24
1:08 am – Parkland County – Tomahawk – Police were dispatched to a break and enter in progress at a Sinopec lease site. While en route the suspects departed. Members located the suspects at a know residence in Tomahawk. Two males were observed exiting the truck used in the break and enter. Males were arrested. Truck they were driving was determined to be stolen, and property from the lease site along with break and enter tools were found in the truck. The two males have both been charged with Break and Entering, Possession of Stolen Property x 3, Mischief, Possession of Break in Tools and Possession of a controlled substance.
1:14 am – Brazeau County – Country Style – Members were dispatched to a barking dog complaint. Members attended, unable to get a hold of owner, message left for owner of the dog.
5:32 am – Drayton Valley – 63 street – Members were dispatched to a complaint of individuals passed out in the UFA bathroom. Members attended and removed the individuals. The female was found to be wanted on numerous outstanding warrants and was arrested and held for a Judicial Interim release hearing.
9:03 am – Drayton Valley – 54 street – Members were dispatched to a break and enter into a shed that occurred overnight. Police attended, nothing taken form the shed.
9:40 am – Drayton Valley – 52 avenue – Police were requested to assist with evicted tenants that were now squatting in the entry way. Members attended, the 2 suspects were gone when police arrived. Members suggested getting a lock for the door to the foyer to avoid this issue.
10:47 am – Brazeau County – Highway 39 – Police received a complaint of a white semi truck that knocked barriers driving through a construction site due to its width. License plate of the truck was obtained. Member called the company who advised their safety department will deal with the driver.
12:02 pm – Drayton Valley – 50 street – Call received of a suspicious male on a bicycle, was towing something large, possibly a kayak. Police attended and went to the homeless camp in the area, but did not locate a kayak or anything that looked like a kayak.
12:19 pm – Drayton Valley – 50 avenue – Members were dispatched of a truck with its gas tank punctured. Complainant did not know when it happened, but that he had lost his tank of fuel over the past 2 days.
1:37 pm – Drayton Valley – Omniplex parking lot – Complaint received of a black Toyota Matrix and a Gold Jeep Cherokee, both packed with occupants, driving backwards through the parking lot chasing each other. Members made patrols, but vehicles had left.
4:26 pm – Drayton Valley – 52 avenue – Members were dispatched to a report of 2 homeless individuals at the Drayton Valley Hotel refusing to leave. Members attended and spoke with the individuals and advised them that they were required to leave when staff requested it of them.
4:35 pm – Drayton Valley – 56 street – Police dispatched to a complaint of an unwanted female at a residence refusing to leave. Members attended and requested she leave, which she did.
5:42 pm – Drayton Valley – Highway 22 – Members were called about a suspicious truck on private property behind Weyerhauser. Members attended and located the truck stuck just off highway 22. Driver was advised this was private property and he needed to leave. Tow truck called at driver’s expense.
10:13 pm – Brazeau County – Highway 621 – Police received a 911 call that there were a couple cows running on the highway. Member attended and located two calves on the side of the highway. The member has watched a couple episodes of Yellowstone so she was able to herd the calves successfully back to the rest of the herd.
11:00 pm – Drayton Valley – Omniplex Parking Lot – Police were dispatched to a complaint of a possible impaired driver driving in circles in the Omniplex parking lot. Members attended and located the vehicle. Driver was not impaired, and was warned about their driving.
11:37 pm – Drayton Valley – 41 avenue – Police were dispatched to a 911 hang up from the area of the Telus tower. Members attended the area but did not locate anyone in distress. Occurred during heavy rain and is a common issue during heavy rainfall.
June 25
00:59 am – Drayton Valley – 52 avenue – Members were called to an assault at the Oil Country Tap House. Members attended and spoke with the victim who was highly intoxicated. Victim identified who assaulted them. Members continue to follow up.
01:19 am – Drayton Valley – 45 street – While on proactive patrol a member conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle driving without its lights on. During the traffic stop breath samples were taken and they failed. Driver charged under provincial sanctions including a 90 day license suspension and 30 day vehicle seizure. While being searched after failing the breath sample police located brass knuckles in the back pocket of the driver. Driver also charged with possession of a prohibited weapon.
02:30 am – Drayton Valley – 52 street – While on patrol police was waved down by a taxi driver who stated a male in the back seat was kicking and attempting to break his windows. Male was located in the back seat of the cab. Spouse of the male advised he had assaulted her while in the cab. Male arrested and held for Judicial Interim release hearing.
11:54 am – Drayton Valley – 50 avenue – Members were dispatched to a possible break and enter at the Matador Motel. Members attended, one of the back pieces of plywood covering the windows had been pulled off. Members cleared the room, no one in it.
12:27 pm – Drayton Valley – 50 street – Police were called to a 2 vehicle collision that was blocking traffic in front of the south Petro Canada. Member attended, no one was injured. Vehicles removed from the roadway and collision statements and reports completed.
12:32 pm – Drayton Valley – 52 Avenue – Police were dispatched to a truck leaking gas on 52nd avenue. Members attended, a jerry can had tipped over in the back of the truck and was leaking onto the street. Fire attended and cleaned up the gas.
12:44 pm – Drayton Valley – Industrial Road – Member received a report of a custody dispute. Complainant called police reporting the other party was late for the child exchange. By the time call came through to members exchange had been done.
4:11 pm – Drayton Valley – 56 street – Police were called about a suspicious person waling with a shopping cart full of copper wire. Members attended but did not locate the male.
5:57 pm – Drayton Valley – Omniplex Parking lot – Complainant called police reporting that while at the carnival someone had kicked the driver’s side door of his car. Member attended and photographed the damage. Member to follow up with video surveillance from Holy Trinity.
6:05 pm – Drayton Valley – 43 street – Police called to stunting at the high school during the grad parade. No vehicle description’s provided. Members attended and stayed in the area until the parade was done.
6:20 pm – Drayton Valley – Omniplex parking lot – Complainant called police that a dog was left in a vehicle at the Omniplex parking lot. Member attended and vehicle was gone. Member called the owner who advised he had stopped at the fair to grab some delicious mini donuts and had left his dog in the vehicle while running to grab them.
7:32 pm – Drayton Valley – 45 avenue – Complainant called police advising that one of the workers at the carnival had grabbed her aggressively and refused to let her go. Members attended and spoke to both parties. Employee at the carnival advised they thought the complainant was using a stolen wristband as she had watched another girl give her the wristband she was using. Employee of the carnival grabbed apologized fro grabbing her.
11:29 pm – Drayton Valley – Greenwood Trailer Court. – Complainant called police advising that a friend had just stole her vehicle. She stated she had went to the bar to pick him up as he was intoxicated and when she got out of the drivers seat he got in and drove away. Members tried to locate the vehicle but were not successful. Complainant updated members the next day that the vehicle was returned and they did not want charges.
11:34 pm – Drayton Valley – 50 street – Call received of squatters at an apartment building. Police attended and spoke with the residents who were given keys form the home owner and permission t stay.
11:40 pm – Brazeau County – Brazeau Dam – Police received a 911 hang up call, sounded like kids playing with the phone. Police called back but nobody answered. Members made patrols around the campground, everything quiet.
June 26
00:55 am – Drayton Valley – Poplar Ridge – Members dispatched to a complaint of a female screaming that someone has a knife. Members attended and located a female outside with blood on her face. Female was screaming that he was inside. Members entered the trailer and spoke to the occupants and got some clarity on the situation. The female outside was their daughter and had attacked her mother in her intoxicated state so they had locked her outside. Members attempted to arrange for a ride for the female but while waiting she began damaging property. Female was arrested, during the arrest female assaulted the police officers, spitting on them and kicking one member in the face. Female charged with assaulting a police officer.
01:05 am – Brazeau County – Range Road 71 – Complaint received of a missing male. Complainant advised that his son had borrowed his vehicle to drive to the grad bush party and now everyone had left and he did had gotten lost on the way back and did not know where he was. Members went to the area and located the truck just as his father was arriving.
07:27 am – Brazeau County – Range Road 82 – Call received for horses on the highway 620. Police attended and their traditional Mountie instincts kicked in, they got the horses off the highway, corralled them in a field on range road 82 and then rode them off into the sunrise. This is pretty impressive as both these young Cst. are from Ontario suburbia. Owner of the horses then arrived and returned them home.
07:52 am – Drayton Valley – 64 street – Complaint received of a semi truck being stolen over night. Member following up with video surveillance.
11:20 am – Brazeau County – Poplar Ridge – Complaint received form the poplar ridge liquor store of a male bothering customers. Members attended and told the male to leave the area and that he was not welcome back at the store.
11:23 am – Drayton Valley – 51 street – Police received a call of a male sleeping on the sidewalk by the White Bull. Members attended and located one of our known homeless males. Members woke him up and advised him to carry on.
5:33 pm – Drayton Valley – Home Hardware – Police were dispatched to an alarm at Home Hardware. Members attended, 2 door were open. Building cleared, no one inside and nothing noted to be missing.
6:36 pm – Drayton Valley – 50 street – Members received a call of a dog in a car. Members attended, the owner was in Mr. Mikes having lunch. Dog had been left with water and the windows down, but owner paid for his lunch and left.
8:47 pm – Drayton Valley – UFA – Complaint of a suspicious vehicle driving erratically, a silver Toyota Corolla. Registered Owner known to police. Patrols made but he was not located.
10:56 pm – Drayton Valley – 47 street – Members attended a known residence looking for a wanted male. Male located hiding in the basement and was arrested.
June 27
08:10 am – Drayton Valley – 49 street – Police were dispatched to a theft from a garage. Member attended and spoke with the complainant who advised they had left their garage door open and had surveillance of a male coming in and taking numerous items. Police located the male seen on video and had him return the items.
08:19 am – Brazeau County – Range Road 83 – Complaint received of an assault. Statement taken from the complainant and the investigation is continuing.
2:16 pm – Brazeau County – Township 485 – Police received a call of an abandoned vehicle at the property next to theirs. Members attended and located a truck and camper. Registered owner called who advised it was her aunt’s property and she had permission to be there. Complainant notified and apologized for the misunderstanding.
2:44 pm – Drayton Valley – Parkland County –Police were dispatched to a family dispute with the complainant’s son-in-law. Complainant did not want son-in-law’s trailer on their property anymore and was worried it was going to escalate to things getting physical. Members attended and made sure everyone was safe.
2:54 pm – Brazeau County – Range Road 83 – Call received of trespassing on complainant’s property. Members attended but trespasser had already left.
2:59 pm – Drayton Valley – Canadian Tire – Call received of theft form Canadian Tire. Members reviewing video surveillance to identify the thief.
8:29 pm – Drayton Valley – 47 avenue – Police were called by a mother who suspects her son is stealing her prescription medication. Member attended and spoke with the mother and provided some advice.
9:53 pm – Drayton valley – Highway 22 – Police were called about a possible impaired driver. Police made patrols but did not locate the vehicle. Vehicle last seen going towards Breton. Breton RCMP advised to look out for it.
June 28
04:22 am – Brazeau County – Highway 22 – Police were dispatched to a male riding a bicycle being struck by a vehicle on the highway. Members attended, male seriously injured and taken to hospital in Edmonton. Collision Analyst attended the scene. Investigation is continuing.
07:29 am – Brazeau County – Highway 22 – Complaint received of vehicles speeding through construction zones on the highway and requesting patrols in the zones by members.
08:34 am – Drayton Valley – Industrial Road – Commercial alarm received from a local business. Members attended, false alarm.
09:34 am – Drayton Valley – 50 Avenue – Police received a call for a well being check on their 17 year old daughter who is living away from home but they have not heard from for about a year. Member spoke to the daughter and there were no safety concerns. Parent advised that their daughter was safe.
10:45 am – Drayton Valley – Industrial Road – Police were called about a landlord tenant dispute. Bailiff had removed tenants and they were to set up a time to remove their belongings but had not done so. Landlord had now started removing their belongings themselves. Landlord and tenants were able to reach and agreement.
10:58 am – Drayton Valley – Canadian Tire – Call received of a shop lifter at Canadian tire. Member to review video surveillance to identify the thief.
11:14 am – Drayton Valley – 50 street – Complainant called police reporting that her brother or her cousin stole her backpack. Members following up.
12:08 pm – Drayton Valley – 50 street – Vehicle damage in the independent parking lot. Complainant called police advising that a male had opened their truck door into the side of his truck. After this was done they had a confrontation in the parking lot that almost turned into a fight. Not a criminal matter, complainant going through insurance.
12:19 pm – Drayton Valley – 58 street – Found copper wire. Members attended and seized the pile of wire.
1:42 pm – Drayton Valley – Industrial road – Complainant called police advising that their son was involved in an online fraud. Complainants going through the bank fraud section.
3:35 pm – Drayton Valley – 52 street – Complaint received of property left behind by a tenant. Tenant returned and cleaned up the rest of the property.
4:01 pm – Brazeau County – Highway 22 – Called received of an erratic driver in a silver Toyota Corolla. Plate proved to the police. Driver of the vehicle known to police and is the subject of numerous complaints. Police attempted to locate the vehicle but were not successful. Driver fitness request submitted due to the multiple safety concerns of the driver.
6:03 pm – Drayton Valley – 55 street – Call received of an abandoned vehicle. When police arrived the complainant advised it was misunderstanding, that it is one of the contractor’s vehicles.
6:06 pm – Drayton Valley – 50 street – Call received of a neighbor dumping motor oil on their yard. File referred to Bylaw.
7:04 pm – Brazeau County – Violet Grove – Alarm call received at a Violet Grove residence. Home owner called police to cancel the alarm as her husband had accidently tripped it.
8:04 pm – Drayton Valley – 47 street – 911 received from Season Retirement Home. No emergency at the location, residents must dial 9 prior to calling out and accidently dialed 911.
10:29 pm – Drayton Valley – 55 street – Police were dispatched to a complaint of a break and enter at their neighbors’ property. Police attended and noticed signs of forced entry. Investigation is continuing.
June 29
00:30 am – Brazeau County – Highway 627 – Complaint received of a suspicious quad in that area. Members attended and patrolled the area, but no quad located.
03:14 am – Brazeau County – Range Road 73 – Traffic stop conducted by police. Driver was a GDL and provided a breath sample that showed he had alcohol in his system. Provincial GDL sanction given.
05:00 am – Drayton Valley – Foxwood Inn – Members called to a female requesting assistance. When members arrived female advised she was safe. Male and female determined to be wanted on warrants. Both arrested for outstanding warrants.
12:11 pm – Drayton Valley – Independent Parking lot – Compliant received of a hit and run in the parking lot of the independent. Member attended and gathered evidence from the scene. Investigation continuing.
2:15 pm – Drayton Valley – Landfill – Complaint received of a suspicious truck in the area. Members attended and spoke with the registered owner. Nothing criminal, was visiting the homeless camp in the area.
2:55 pm – Drayton Valley – 47 street – Compliant received of a domestic dispute. Members attended and spoke with both parties calming them down. No chargeable offence occurred.
4:48 pm – Drayton Valley – 53 street – Complaint received of domestic dispute. Police attended and spoke to the complainant who advised their ex had come by for some food and got angry when they threw it to her. Situation escalated in physical violence. Investigation is continuing.
5:06 pm – Drayton Valley – 52 avenue – Complaint received of an intoxicated female walking around hitting cars with a shoehorn. Members attended, no damage done to the cars but female was arrested and held until sober.
6:32 pm – Drayton valley – 52 avenue – Complaint of trespassing at an apartment building. Members attended, it appeared to be a misunderstanding between the parties. Trespassers advised they were not welcome there.
6:34 pm – Brazeau County – Range Road 70 – Compliant received of a possible break and enter to use the complainants photocopier. Members spoke with the complainant who appears to be suffering from paranoia. File referred to RPAT the rural mental health team.
6:56 pm – Drayton Valley – 49 avenue – Well being check requested on complainants uncle as their phone call had disconnected and he can not get a hold of him now. Uncle has medical concerns. Members attended, uncle was fine, just having problems with his phone.
8:54 pm – Drayton Valley – 52 avenue – 911 received of an assault by a landlord. Members attended and determined no assault occurred. Was a dispute over playing music too loud. Members advised everyone to stop drinking and go to sleep.
