The Town of Drayton Valley continues to bring in new educational opportunities.
On Mar. 14, the Town announced they have partnered with Olds College and Everest Educational Services to bring a new business management program to the community.
Under the plan, Olds College instructors will teach Olds’ Business Management Certificate in Drayton Valley to international students recruited by Everest.
The Town will work with Everest to help the students find housing, transportation to and from the Clean Energy Technology Centre (CETC), and other student support services. The CETC will serve as the Drayton Valley Campus.
In addition, the Town will help the students to familiarize themselves with local amenities, volunteer opportunities, and finding local employment.
In a statement, Drayton Valley Mayor Nancy Dodds welcomes Olds College to town.
“This partnership is an important piece of the education modal we are building in Drayton Valley, and I know this program will appeal to a wide range of students,” said Dodds.
Everest has already begun recruiting students. The first 30 students will begin their studies in the fall of 2022.
